At Textilfy we have a clear objective: that the “unique designs of unique people” do not stay on the screen, but are touched, used and lived. We want to inspire you to make the leap from the digital file to the real product.
And the best example of how this works is our second protagonist of the Christmas campaign: Carmen B. Mikelarena.

Unique talent with its own narrative
Carmen (@carmenbmike) is the creative force behind this story. An artist from Madrid and author of graphic novels (she has just published Ethylene), Carmen has an unmistakable style that questions “the cute”, mixes folklore with technology and flees from the conventional.
She perfectly represents what we are looking for at Textilfy: creators who dare to take their visual universe to new media. Carmen is not satisfied with drawing; he seeks to make his illustrations speak.
The challenge: A table to celebrate with friends
For this collection, Carmen set herself a conceptual challenge: to flee from the classic concept of Christmas and the colours associated with it. I wanted to create an enjoyable environment where the only goal is to have a good time.
Its canvas? Our Pack of 2 Placemats + 2 Napkins.
He chose this format because it represents flexibility. Placemats allow you to set up a dynamic, young and casual table, perfect for those celebrations that go on without label.
Linen/Cotton: The perfect ally for texture
Our Linen/Cotton blend has turned out to be the perfect ally.
Thanks to its visible and natural weave, the fabric brings a third dimension to the design. The “grain” of the linen breaks the uniformity of digital color, giving it a vibrancy and warmth that only natural fibers achieve.
In addition, the design called for proximity. Being a product that you are going to touch constantly while eating, we needed a pleasant touch. The combination of the freshness of linen with the softness of cotton achieves a rustic but noble finish, with body and presence.
The end result is magnetic: Carmen’s geometric colours are saturated and powerful, but integrated into the fibre in an organic way. It is a table that breathes quality.
