From Architecture to Textile Design
What really moves us at Textilfy is the story behind each creator. Our vocation is to be the bridge between a brilliant idea and its materialization, and the Creators section was born precisely for that: to give a voice to the talent and people who trust us to bring their projects to life.
Today, that space is for someone we admire: Mariate Martín, the soul of Tramo by Mariate.
If you follow our work, there’s a good chance that their scarves have already captivated you. They are those pieces that transcend the concept of accessory to become canvases full of color and vitality. We are very lucky to print your designs and, we assure you, every time a Tramo print passes through our machines, the workshop is filled with a special light.
From the shots to the scarves that tell stories
But who is the creative engine of Tramo? Mariate is a designer with roots in the south and a heart divided between two paradises that are her constant source of inspiration: she lives between Coín (Malaga) and Fuerteventura.
And this is where her story takes a fascinating turn: Mariate is an architect by training. From that first passion the name “Tramo” was born, and its influence is undeniable. His extraordinary vision of composition, balance and space is perceived in each of his designs, with which he has created a wonderful concept: scarves that tell stories.
Press play: the story of Tramo, by its protagonist
No one can narrate a creative journey like someone who has lived it. We have had the pleasure of talking with Mariate in a very close interview where she reveals the details of her work and how her perspective as an architect defines each of her creations.
If you want to discover the story behind Tramo, understand his creative process and, above all, get infected by his passion, we invite you to watch the video.
The challenge: to take the Tramo universe beyond the scarf
At Textilfy we love new challenges and, fascinated by her gift for storytelling, we couldn’t help it and we launched a proposal to take her prints beyond the scarf. Said and done.
True to her courageous spirit, Mariate has accepted the challenge. For this creative adventure, he has decided to bring his graphic universe to two new canvases designed to accompany you in your day to day: a toiletry bag and a T-shirt.
In our next post we will reveal the final result. But first, we wanted you to be the one to hear her story and be inspired by it. See you very soon!
